Senior Cross Asset Macro Investment Strategist - London
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious asset management firm seeking a highly skilled Cross Asset Macro Investment Strategist to join their team. This role is crucial for driving the firm's multi-asset investment strategies, leveraging deep macroeconomic insights and quantitative analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in developing and implementing multi-asset strategies, directly supporting a solutions-oriented investment team.
Responsibilities:
Macro Strategy Development:
Develop and refine a proprietary top-down global macro framework to identify key market trends and inflection points.
Create and enhance internal valuation models for rates, currencies, and other asset classes to identify pricing inefficiencies and support strategic investment decisions.
Investment Idea Generation:
Generate and present innovative macro trade ideas and strategic asset allocation recommendations for the firm's multi-asset portfolios, including absolute return and global macro funds.
Provide actionable investment insights based on thorough macroeconomic and financial market analysis.
Research & Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive research on macroeconomic and financial trends to support the firm's multi-asset strategies, including equities, fixed income, commodities, and currencies.
Develop and maintain quantitative models and analytical tools to evaluate a broad range of asset classes and inform the investment decision-making process.
Produce detailed reports and presentations, communicating complex concepts and strategic recommendations to portfolio managers and other stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with portfolio managers to implement tactical asset allocations and manage long/short exposures across the firm's multi-asset portfolios.
Collaborate with the Head of Research and other team members to define and prioritize the research agenda, ensuring it is aligned with market trends and client needs.
Engage with clients and understand their challenges, ensuring research and strategies are client-centric and future-focused.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MSc, PhD) or professional certifications (CFA, CAIA) are highly advantageous.
Experience:
8-15 years of experience specifically within a multi-asset investment strategy or solutions team. The candidate must have a proven track record in developing and implementing multi-asset strategies and providing macroeconomic analysis and insights.
Extensive experience in creating and utilizing quantitative models for multi-asset analysis and investment decision-making.
Skills:
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with a deep understanding of global macroeconomics and financial markets.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in financial modeling, quantitative analysis tools, and relevant software.
