Our client, a leading global trading house, is seeking a highly analytical and driven Oil Analyst/Strategist to join their dynamic team in Dubai. Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience Required: 2–5 years
The Role:
Conduct detailed analysis of oil markets, focusing on crude oil and middle distillates.
Develop and maintain global and regional supply-demand balances.
Monitor and forecast refinery margins, crude and product flows, and inventory trends.
Produce actionable market intelligence and strategic recommendations to support trading teams.
Interpret market news, geopolitical developments, and macroeconomic factors to assess their impact on oil fundamentals and pricing structures.
Contribute to daily, weekly, and ad hoc market reports with clear, data-driven insights.
The Ideal Candidate:
2–5 years' experience in oil market analysis within a trading house, energy major, investment bank, or consultancy.
Strong background in supply-demand modelling, refinery analysis, and pricing dynamics.
Solid understanding of crude oil and product markets, particularly middle distillates and gasoline.
Highly proficient in data analytics, with strong Excel skills; Python or SQL knowledge is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver complex analysis clearly and concisely.
Motivated self-starter with a passion for energy markets and a commercial mindset.
