Investment Risk Analyst – Exciting Hedge Fund Opportunity (London)
I am working with a leading hedge fund based in London that is looking to hire an Investment Risk Analyst to join their Risk Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 2 years of experience, ideally looking to take on their second role within the investment industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, preparing, and ensuring the quality of investment-related data for clients. This includes performance metrics, risk exposures, and attribution analysis – essential in a hedge fund environment. You’ll collaborate with multiple teams to streamline processes, improve operations, and support automation efforts.
This position offers significant potential for growth and could evolve into a broader role within the investment risk management team over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, verify, and present investment performance, risk, and exposure data for client reporting.
Gain in-depth knowledge of the firm’s investment strategies and hedge fund products.
Manage regular monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, as well as handle ad-hoc data requests from sales and client services teams.
Partner with other teams to create high-quality client presentation materials.
Streamline and enhance operational processes related to reporting and data management.
Document and update procedures, while supporting automation by liaising with the technology team and writing code when necessary.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Experience in the asset management industry, particularly in portfolio management and derivatives, is highly desirable.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions; basic knowledge of VBA or another programming language is a plus.
A proactive, collaborative team player looking to advance their career in the hedge fund industry.
