Head of ASEAN Macroeconomic Research- Investment Bank- Singapore

We are currently working exclusively with a leading global investment bank in search of a Head of ASEAN Macroeconomic Research to lead their research team. This senior position is ideal for an experienced economist with a strong background in central banking and a PhD from a top-tier university.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee macroeconomic research across the ASEAN region

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team, with the opportunity to hire and build it further

• Engage with senior policymakers and represent the firm in high-level discussions

• Present broader macroeconomic perspectives, including views on the US, Europe, the FED, and the ECB

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with Central Bank officials and other key stakeholders

• Personally cover a few select ASEAN countries while focusing primarily on team leadership and strategic oversight

Key Qualifications:

• PhD in Economics from a top university

• Central banking experience, ideally with connections to the IMF or similar institutions

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams

• Proven ability to engage with policymakers and Central Bank governors

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a high degree of client credibility
