Utilities Equity Analyst – Hedge Fund- London

A growing Hedge Fund in  London is seeking an Equity Analyst with deep expertise in the utilities sector. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in market neutral investing or sell-side research, who are skilled at analysing utilities stocks and generating actionable investment ideas.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct thorough research on utilities companies to identify compelling long and short investment opportunities.

• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate company performance and determine valuations.

• Stay informed on sector-specific developments, including regulatory changes and market dynamics, impacting utilities.

• Present research findings and investment strategies to portfolio managers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA or similar qualification preferred.

• Strong experience in equity analysis, particularly within the utilities sector, gained in a market neutral hedge fund or sell-side environment.

• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market analysis.

• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
