L/S Equity Analyst (European Internet / Software) – London

Our client, a boutique hedge fund is looking to expand its team with the addition of an equity analyst.

The fund currently manages approximately £1.5bn in AUM and focuses its investments on European internet and technology equities. This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with a genuine passion for public markets and European technology businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis on European internet and technology companies.

• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including forecasting earnings, cash flows, and valuations.

• Analyse industry trends, competitive landscapes, and disruptive technologies to identify key investment opportunities.

• Engage with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts to gather relevant insights.

• Develop well-supported investment theses and present recommendations to the investment team.

• Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings releases, and market developments to assess investment impact.

• Collaborate with other team members to refine investment strategies and contribute to portfolio construction.

Requirements:

• 2-5+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, private equity, or buy-side investing, with a focus on the technology or internet sector.

• Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis.

• Deep knowledge of European internet and technology markets, including key players, trends, and regulatory considerations.

• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to generate investment insights.
