Equity Portfolio Manager (US Alternative Asset Managers) – New York / Remote
We have recently been retained by a rapidly growing investment management firm specialising in actively managed ETF products. The firm have recently raised substantive capital and have launched a family of innovative ETF products.
In line with their continued growth, the firm is now embarking on an exciting new project to launch a US Alternative Asset Managers ETF, and they are looking to hire a Portfolio Manager to lead the development and successful launch of this fund.
The group are keen to speak to portfolio managers with exposure to US Alternative Asset Managers, with coverage of liquid publicly traded names within Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, and Equities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a proprietary research universe for US alternative asset manager equities
Conduct in-depth fundamental equity research to identify investment opportunities
Create investment memos, reports, and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations
Build and manage sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions
Lead security selection for investment portfolios with a focus on alternative asset managers
Engage directly with target companies to enhance investment strategies and portfolio performance
Requirements:
At least 5 years of investment research experience, either on the buy-side or sell-side (Junior PMs and Senior Analysts are encouraged to apply)
You must have coverage of US liquid alternative asset management firms (Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, Public Equities)
Candidates with prior experience working in a family office, private equity firm, or asset manager would be strongly encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated success in public equity investing, with a focus on alternative asset managers
A track record of generating successful stock recommendations and managing risk effectively
Ability to conduct independent and comprehensive equity research
