Senior Investment Analyst – Manager Research – Europe

Location: Europe

Experience: 5–8 years

We are working with a leading investment firm seeking to hire a Senior Investment Analyst to join their expanding Manager Research team in Europe. This role centres on identifying, evaluating, and monitoring third-party equity managers to support a broad range of fund-of-fund portfolios. The successful candidate will contribute directly to fund selection, working closely with portfolio managers to deliver strong performance outcomes for clients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Select and oversee equity fund managers for inclusion on the firm's buy list

  • Monitor existing managers and recommend changes based on performance and risk assessment

  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to evaluate fund fit and impact on portfolios

  • Improve selection and monitoring frameworks using robust quantitative techniques

  • Maintain accurate research records and support ongoing database development

  • Work cross-functionally with compliance, product, and legal teams as required

  • Support broader research initiatives and ad hoc investment projects

Candidate Requirements

  • 5–8 years’ experience in fund manager research or direct equity investing

  • Strong knowledge of equity strategies, investment styles, and associated risks

  • CFA qualification (or in progress) and a relevant academic background

  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative approach

  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, and Style Analytics is a plus
