Consumer L/S Senior Equity Analyst – L/S Market Neutral Hedge Fund (London)
Our client is a leading multi-strategy hedge fund who are looking to hire a senior equity analyst to cover a book of developed markets consumer names.
The seat would suit an experienced professional with a strong interest and track record of performance within consumer equities, who is now looking for a new seat with a clearly defined pathway to a senior-money management position.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct deep fundamental research and financial analysis on consumer sector equities across multiple sub-industries.
Develop and maintain detailed financial models, forecasting key company and industry trends.
Generate and present actionable long and short investment ideas that align with the fund’s market-neutral approach.
Monitor industry dynamics, macroeconomic trends, and company-specific catalysts to anticipate potential investment opportunities and risks.
Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other analysts to refine investment theses and risk frameworks.
Engage with company management teams, sell-side analysts, and industry experts to gather insights and validate investment views.
Key Requirements:
5+ years of experience in consumer equity analysis.
You must have L/S experience.
Deep understanding of financial modelling, valuation techniques, and key drivers of consumer businesses.
Exceptional analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a rigorous approach to research.
